Every month, we recognize the referees who go above and beyond to make Vetta Sports a great place to play. These are the people who show up early, keep the game fair and fun, and bring the Vetta way to every shift. May 2026 gave us six standout honorees — here’s a look at the people who earned it this month.
Brian | Concord – Youth Leagues
Brian has been part of the Vetta Concord team for more than 10 years, and his commitment hasn’t wavered once. He’s often at the facility an hour before his shift even starts — not because anyone asked him to be, but because he genuinely loves being there. That enthusiasm shows. Parents notice it, players feel it, and coaches rely on it. Brian is exactly the kind of person who makes youth soccer at Vetta special.
Tony | Manchester – Youth Leagues
Tony has been a staple of the Manchester referee crew for a long time, and he makes every shift a little brighter. He walks in with a smile and a great attitude — every single time. That consistency matters more than people realize, and it’s a big reason players and staff love having Tony around. Congratulations to a well-deserving honoree.
Vern | St. Charles – Adult Leagues
Vern has been with Vetta for many years and has become a fixture on the Wednesday Men’s leagues at St. Charles. He brings genuine experience and a deep understanding of what the Vetta way looks like in practice — keeping games competitive, fair, and enjoyable for everyone involved. Players know Vern, trust Vern, and appreciate everything he brings to the field.
Matthew | St. Charles – Youth Leagues
Matthew’s passion for soccer is visible in everything he does as a referee. He has a calm, steady presence that youth players respond well to — and he doesn’t just call the game, he helps players understand it. Coaches at St. Charles have taken notice, and Matthew has become a go-to official for youth matches. A thoroughly deserved recognition.
Ahmet | Concord – Adult Leagues
Ahmet is one of the most dependable referees in the entire Vetta Sports network. He comes prepared, stays professional, and consistently creates an atmosphere where players feel safe and enjoy competing. His attitude never changes regardless of the level or the stakes. We’re proud to recognize Ahmet as May’s Concord Adults honoree.
Derrick | Manchester – Adult Leagues
In just over a year, Derrick has established himself as one of Manchester’s most reliable officials. Always on time, always positive, and comfortable at every level from youth leagues to competitive adult divisions — Derrick’s commitment to making sure every player has a good experience is what sets him apart. We’re glad to have him on the team.
